Renowned graphic designer, Carin Goldberg took inspiration from the shapes of the components of cardboard packing boxes. They have been designed onto the page as if they were observed through a magnifying glass, so that their look like essential and abstract shapes. Their original function, designed by someone with the same attention for details, is now unrecognizable.

Carin Goldberg was born in 1953 in New York City. She established her own studio in 1982, and over the following three decades has designed hundreds of book jackets and numerous magazines for all the major American publishing houses. She received a number of prizes and awards for her works and has taught Typography and Senior Portfolio at the School of Visual Arts for 27 years.
