Un Sedicesimo 4

On the occasion of Italy’s Republic Day of June 2nd, 2008, Federico Maggioni dedicated his Sedicesimo to Italy’s national hymn.

Illustrator and concept designer, Federico Maggioni lives and works in Milan. He was the art director of «Corriere dei Piccoli» and «Corriere dei Ragazzi», and in the 1980s he was the art director of the Bompiani-Sonzogno-Fabbri publishing group. He illustrated books for the most important Italian publishers, most of which he keeps working with. His works have been published on periodicals and newspapers, and he has been editorial image consultant for Ipsoa, Il Sole 24 ore Libri, Pirola, Mythos Arké. The books he illustrated for Corraini include Rigoletto, Rosa Vercesi (text by Guido Ceronetti), Regolamento del giuoco del calcio, Eureka! (text by Giulio Iacchetti), and the classic novels Canto di Natale by Dickens e Cuore by De Amicis.
