Un Sedicesimo 50

BSO

€5.00

BSO is the *inverse* letterpress of a piece of OSB (Oriented Strand Board) bought from the closest Brico hardware shop to the Archivio Tipografico, Turin (Italy), where it was inked in Reflex Blue and printed in 2000 copies with a Heidelberg OHZ from 1952. Each sheet, an image of the initial board, is folded and stapled into a sixteen-page signature.

Alessio D’Ellena, 1985, is a type and graphic designer. He works with the design of typographic systems, investigating its processes as a non-dogmatic practice: type design as medium, stressing forms, stretching concepts, corrupting rules, misusing tools.

Federico Antonini, 1985, is a graphic designer and librarian at OBA (oba). At the centre of his investigation is the relationship between conceptual art and book design, changes of status in visual information and the specificities of (re)production means.

Alessio and Federico are Superness, a methodologically non-affirmative research group.
