Anthony Peters
Un Sedicesimo 16
Say Yes!
Un Sedicesimo 16 is full of useful tips on how to remember forgotten plans (“Move to the seaside”), bring to mind unconfessable desires (“Eat plenty of biscuits”) and note down experiences to be repeated (“Play in the rain”)... This range of odd reminders provides the starting point for some original printing experiments by Anthony Peters / Imeus design. Inspired by images from the Sixties and Seventies, the influence of his “masters” is revealed as the pages fill with extrovert characters and brightly coloured pictures.
Anthony Peters is a self taught illustrator and poster artist. He comes from the sunny south coast of England where he studied fine art with an emphasis on the art of the 20th century, particularly conceptual art, Fluxus, Op and Pop art. He has an unhealthy obsession with block colour poster art and obsolete printing methods, and when he is not making things, he enjoys eating clouds with his children Audrey and Elliott, or eating Mexican food with his wife Amy. In recent years he has exhibited his work across the UK and in the US, alongside such legends as David Shrigley, Milton Glaser, Anthony Burrill, Barry McGee and many others.
