In 2016, the Signe – Centre national du Graphisme in Chaumont – commissioned to Patrick Lindsay “Le Lumigraphe”, an interactive installation comprising a set of elements, etched and cut in transparent tinted plexiglass. Somewhere between a puzzle and a mechanism, these units allow for an infinity of combinations. Based on superposition, rotation and light, the “Lumigraphe” explored the moving image, where colours merge and wefts create optical illusions.

Patrick Lindsay is a graphic designer based in Marseille. He graduated in 1997 from the Ecole des Arts Décoratifs.Working for a variety of cultural institutions, from theatres to art centres, he creates flexible visual systems, always joyful and evolving. Alongside this, Lindsay offers graphic mediation tools for youngsters.
