Un Sedicesimo 44
Basic Design - Exercise N°01
In this issue of Un Sedicesimo, Lorenzo Bravi experiments and creates amazing prints on white sheets of paper using an unusual medium: Crystal Ball. By manipulating this rubbery paste in a free and natural way, Bravi produces unexpected forms and variable shapes with lines and colour, in a game of alchemy somewhere between order and chance.
Lorenzo Bravi is a graphic designer and he teaches Basic Design at the ISIA in Urbino. His professional and teaching research centres on the fundamentals of visual communication, in projects that range from art print to new media.
His works have been published in a variety of specialist magazines and have been exhibited at the Festival International de l’Affiche et du Graphisme in Chaumont and at the International Biennial of Graphic Design in Brno.
His projects related to new technologies have led to his participation in numerous international festivals: in the field of music at the Telekom Electronic Beats Festival and in education at the World Innovation Summit for Education in Doha, Qatar.
